MaxFit operates from and serves customers in the United Arab Emirates. This page summarises our commitments under UAE consumer-protection, data-protection, and e-commerce law, and the rights you have as a consumer. It supplements, and does not limit, the rights set out in our other policies.
1. Regulatory framework
Our services are provided in accordance with applicable UAE law, including:
- Federal Decree-Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection and its implementing regulation.
- Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL).
- UAE electronic transactions and e-commerce regulations governing online contracting and distance selling.
- Applicable VAT and consumer-invoicing requirements administered by the Federal Tax Authority.
2. Your consumer rights
As a consumer in the UAE you are entitled to:
- Clear information: transparent details of the service, its price (inclusive of applicable taxes), and the terms before you buy.
- Fair contract terms: protection against unfair or misleading terms and practices.
- A service that matches its description: the subscription you receive should correspond to what was advertised at checkout.
- Redress: the ability to raise a complaint and seek a remedy where the service is defective or not as described.
- Data protection: control over your personal data under the PDPL, as set out in our Privacy Policy.
3. Transparent pricing & invoicing
Prices are displayed before purchase and, where applicable, are shown inclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT). You receive an electronic confirmation and invoice for each transaction. Full detail is in our Pricing & Billing Policy. Payments are processed securely through our payment processor, Dodo Payments.
4. Distance selling & digital services
MaxFit is a digital service supplied electronically and available immediately on subscription. Because access to digital content begins as soon as your subscription starts, statutory cooling-off provisions may be limited once the service has been used; our voluntary refund commitments are set out in our Refund & Return Policy.
5. Data protection (PDPL)
We process personal data on lawful bases, honour data-subject rights (access, correction, erasure, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent), apply encryption to sensitive data, and use appropriate safeguards for any international transfer. You may lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office. See our Privacy Policy for detail.
6. AI transparency
We clearly identify AI-generated content and disclose the limitations of AI fitness and nutrition guidance, so you can make informed decisions. See our AI Usage & Disclaimer Policy.
7. How to raise a complaint
To raise a consumer complaint with us:
- Contact support@maxfitai.com with your account email and a description of the issue.
- We aim to acknowledge within a reasonable time and to resolve complaints promptly and fairly.
- If you are not satisfied, you may escalate the matter to the relevant UAE consumer-protection authority, including the Ministry of Economy's consumer-protection channels.
8. Practices we do not engage in
- Misleading or false advertising of features, gyms, or coaches.
- Hidden fees: all charges are disclosed before purchase.
- Unauthorised charges: recurring billing is disclosed and requires your authorisation.
9. Governing law
Our services and these commitments are governed by the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates and, where applicable, the laws of the Emirate of Dubai. Mandatory consumer-protection provisions apply regardless of any conflicting term in our other policies.
